Waukegan Teen and Warren Township High School Graduate Identified as Victim in Fatal Motorcycle Crash.

A motorcycle crash on Interstate 294 in Franklin Park on Thursday resulted in the death of an 18-year-old Waukegan man.

According to the Illinois State Police, the incident occurred around 2:37 p.m. near Wolfe Road, involving three vehicles: a Kawasaki motorcycle, a white Mercedes van, and a white semi-truck. Preliminary investigations indicate that both the van and the semi were traveling slowly in heavy traffic when the motorcyclist lost control while weaving between lanes.

The motorcyclist, identified as Jordan J. Jeffrey, was ejected from his bike after colliding with the rear of the Mercedes and landed in the roadway. He was struck by the semi-truck shortly thereafter. Jeffrey was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with life-threatening injuries, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Jeffrey died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. The roadway was partially blocked as authorities conducted their investigation.

Motorists are advised to slow down and move over as they approach crash scenes. The Illinois State Police are continuing the investigation, with no further details available at this time.
