Westbound I-40 Lanes Closed at Western Following Wednesday Motorcycle Crash.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-40 near Western Ave on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), 30-year-old Jeffery Morrison was riding his motorcycle when he was struck from behind by a Toyota. The collision caused Morrison to go underneath the vehicle.

Authorities reported that the driver of the Toyota lost control and subsequently hit a westbound Freightliner. Both Morrison and the Toyota driver came to rest on the inside shoulder of I-40.

The Freightliner managed to stop on the outside shoulder without further incidents. The driver of the Toyota sustained injuries in the crash and was transported for medical aid.

OHP confirmed that all westbound lanes of I-40 are closed at Western Ave as they investigate the incident.
