WILLISTON, N.D. (KFYR) – A 39-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident at 8:30 p.m. Monday on 32nd Avenue West.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the man was riding north at a high rate of speed when he lost control while negotiating a left-hand curve.
The motorcycle struck the curb and a fire hydrant. Emergency responders transported him to a Williston hospital, then he was flown to a Minot hospital.
Authorities said the rider has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
