On June 12, 2023, actor Treat Williams, 71, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Dorset, Vermont.
According to police, Williams was struck by a Honda while riding his motorcycle. Witness Matt Rapphahn reported that Williams was “conscious and verbal” at the scene before being transported to a hospital.
Rapphahn, who witnessed the incident, stated he immediately called 911 after running to Williams. He described the motorcycle rider as being in significant pain and noted that the driver of the Honda attempted to console him.
Authorities confirmed that Williams was thrown approximately 15 feet from his motorcycle. Paramedics arrived shortly after, working to stabilize him for transport.
Emergency responders from the Dorset Volunteer Fire Department and Vermont State Police provided aid at the scene. The roadway was temporarily closed during the investigation, which is ongoing.
