FINDLAY, Ohio — A 19-year-old man died Saturday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Friday afternoon.
Jager Burgei, from Kalida, was pronounced dead at the hospital approximately 24 hours after the incident, confirmed authorities. The crash occurred on Broad Avenue near Bigelow Avenue, where Burgei lost control of his motorcycle, struck a curb, and was ejected.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and provided medical aid before transporting Burgei to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Burgei was remembered by the Ottawa-Glandorf High School track and field team, which posted a tribute on social media, expressing grief over the loss of a valued team member.
