Tecumseh Township, Mich. — A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a truck left one man dead Wednesday morning.
At 7:04 a.m., a silver Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle was traveling north on Newburg Highway near Burwyn Hills Drive when the 19-year-old rider lost control on a curve, entered the southbound lane, and collided with a Chevrolet C5500 truck. The truck, driven by a 41-year-old man from Ann Arbor, was traveling southbound at the time of the incident.
The truck driver was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said it is unclear if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate.
