Motorcyclist Dies Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Granby
Granby, CT — A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Peck Orchard Road on Monday, March 12, 2023, at approximately 5:42 p.m., resulting in one fatality.
According to Granby Police Captain Kurt LaFlamme, the motorcyclist, identified as 69-year-old Mark Floryan of Simsbury, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Hartford Hospital by Life Star. Floryan later succumbed to his injuries.
The other involved party, a 50-year-old male from Granby, was not injured and remained at the scene. Route 189, known as Granville Road, was temporarily closed between Northwoods Road and Silver Street but has since been reopened to traffic.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
