A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on Hixson Pike on Saturday afternoon, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of Hixson Pike, near the Highland Plaza Shopping Center. Authorities reported that a Honda Accord was turning left from a parking lot when the motorcyclist collided with it.
Responding to the scene, Hamilton County EMS transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them at 423-698-2525.
