PARK HILLS, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – A motorcycle crash on Route V claimed the life of Father Larry Huber on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Huber, 57, was riding a 2008 Honda VTX1330 northbound when a southbound 2023 Ford Bronco Sport made a left turn in front of him. Huber attempted to brake but skidded and collided with the right side of the Ford.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. Huber was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services from the nearby area responded promptly. The driver of the Ford was not reported injured.
Authorities indicated that the incident remains under investigation.
The St. Louis Archdiocese has confirmed Huber’s death. He was the priest at Immaculate Conception Church, where a statement praised his dedication and impact on the community.
“He walked with so many of us in our joys and sorrows, always pointing us back to God,” the statement read.
Huber was known for establishing the Community of Transcendent Men, aimed at teaching young men about Catholic values.
