United Bikers of Maine Celebrates 50 Years of Promoting Safety and Advocacy.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) – The United Bikers of Maine celebrated 50 years of promoting motorcycle safety and awareness on June 10, 2023.

During the summer months, with increased motorcycle traffic, members emphasize the importance of their mantra: “Look twice, save a life.” The organization was established to advocate for riders and continues to enhance safety measures on the road.

“Biker safety begins with recognizing two and three-wheeled vehicles on the road,” said Donna Rich, United Bikers of Maine Aroostook County Assistant Director. “Many accidents occur because drivers overlook motorcycles before making turns or pulling into traffic.”

Members urge all motorists to remain vigilant and practice defensive driving to ensure safer road conditions for everyone.
