A 53-year-old man from Wright City was killed in a motorcycle crash on northbound Highway 47 in Warren County on January 13, 2026.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. south of Toebbens Lane. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the rider was operating a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve.
The motorcycle veered off the roadway, collided with a dirt embankment, and overturned, causing the rider to be fully ejected.
The individual was wearing safety gear during the crash and was transported by Warren County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, where he was pronounced dead at 4:27 p.m. by Dr. C. Canine.
The motorcycle was deemed a total loss and removed by Prime Towing. Emergency response included Trooper M. Kelly, Trooper D. Henson, and Corporal N. Cockrum.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
