MILLERSVILLE, MD — One motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Veterans Highway Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on June 24, in the northbound lanes, just north of Brightview Road. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, 70-year-old Charles D. Braun of Millersville was riding a 1982 Yamaha XJ650 when he lost control while changing lanes across uneven pavement.
Braun was thrown from his motorcycle into the path of a northbound 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. Emergency crews transported Braun to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that day. The 29-year-old driver of the pickup truck has not been identified by authorities.
The Anne Arundel County Police’s Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. No additional details regarding injuries or lane closures have been released.
