Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Virginia Man in Kershaw County
KERSHAW COUNTY, SC — A motorcycle crash at the intersection of McBee Highway and Mt. Pisgah Road claimed the life of a Virginia man on Sunday morning.
According to the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office, Dennis Roethlisberger, 66, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 7:55 a.m. The collision involved Roethlisberger’s motorcycle, traveling east on Mt. Pisgah Road, and a minivan traveling north on McBee Highway.
Authorities reported that the occupants of the minivan were not injured in the incident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, with no further details released regarding potential factors or citations at this time.
The roadway remains open as the investigation continues.
