A motorcycle accident on Braddock Road in Fairfax County claimed the life of a 26-year-old man on October 3, 2023, at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit, Paul Economon Jr. was riding a 2013 Honda CB1100 motorcycle eastbound when it collided with a 2021 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was making a left turn from westbound Braddock Road onto Kings Park Drive.
Authorities reported that Economon was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and sustained minor injuries, also requiring medical attention.
The incident prompted a temporary closure of Braddock Road as officers conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. Further details regarding the collision are pending as the investigation continues.
