TIGARD, Ore. (KPTV) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after being pinned under a pickup truck on Hwy 217 near Tigard on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, multiple units responded to the crash on Hwy 217 southbound between Greenberg and Highway 99 at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Firefighters successfully rescued the motorcyclist, who was trapped beneath the vehicle.
Tigard Police later confirmed the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities believe the incident occurred when the motorcyclist clipped another car and subsequently fell into the truck’s lane.
The crash prompted the closure of the middle and right lanes of Hwy 217, as well as the on-ramp from Greenberg, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
All lanes reopened to traffic at approximately 6:15 p.m.
