Accident on I-95 Near Augusta Leaves Two Injured
A multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-95 northbound near Augusta at approximately 4:15 p.m. on October 3.
Authorities reported that three vehicles were involved in the collision, resulting in two individuals sustaining injuries. Emergency response teams, including the MAINE State POLICE and local emergency medical services, provided on-site medical aid.
The northbound lanes were closed for approximately 45 minutes while emergency crews extricated one injured person and cleared the wreckage. Towing services were deployed to remove the vehicles involved.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and no fatalities have been reported. Authorities have urged drivers to avoid the area as road conditions may be vulnerable during the ongoing investigation.
