A fatal vehicle crash shut down U.S. 14, 16, and 20 between Cody and Yellowstone, just west of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir, on Wednesday morning.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the road was closed at milepost 32.3 as emergency crews responded. Authorities reported at least one confirmed fatality in the Wapiti area; however, further details regarding the number of vehicles involved and additional injuries have not been released.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and anticipate significant delays. Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) District 5 is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
