REPUBIC, Mo. (KY3) – A 67-year-old Republic man has died following a motorcycle and semi-truck collision Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Sawyer Road, west of Highway MM, at 1:15 p.m.
Authorities reported that a 49-year-old man from Kansas City, driving the semi-truck, made a left turn into the path of an eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the truck, ejecting the rider.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at Cox South Hospital. He was reported to be wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
This incident marks Troop D’s 118th fatality for 2025.
