A motorcycle crash in Ector County early Sunday morning resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries.
ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — Authorities responded to a motorcycle accident at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Cottonwood Road and Lariat Trail in Gardendale.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling westbound on E Cottonwood Road when its driver made a U-turn attempt, crossing into the inside lane. A Harley Davidson motorcycle, carrying a driver and one passenger who were following the Camaro, struck the car’s rear left quarter.
The motorcycle driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to Odessa’s Medical Center Hospital. The passenger, identified as 26-year-old Harris Mindi Lane, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Camaro driver suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, with no additional details released as of now.
