A 55-year-old man from Park City, Tennessee, was killed in a motorcycle crash on State Highway 68 on Wednesday morning.
Joe Gossett was riding his 2023 Harley Davidson when he missed a turn, causing the motorcycle to slide on its side. The bike crossed the center line and became lodged under a Chevrolet Express, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Gossett suffered fatal injuries in the incident, despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Authorities confirmed that no charges will be filed regarding the accident.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, where the investigation is ongoing. State Highway 68 was subject to lane closures following the collision.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Gossett is from Barren County.
