LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A Cottage Grove man died in a motorcycle crash near Waldo Lake on Sunday, Oct. 4, authorities confirmed.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office reported they received calls at approximately 4:40 p.m. regarding a single motorcycle accident at the intersection of Waldo Lake Road and Shadow Bay Access Road. Responding deputies found the rider unconscious with visible injuries.
Dispatchers provided CPR instructions while bystanders attempted life-saving measures. Firefighters arrived on scene at 5:15 p.m., where EMTs pronounced the rider dead.
Officials identified the victim as 42-year-old Ryan Lee Foster of Cottage Grove. The Lane County Medical Examiner’s Office has been notified.
