SHELBY COUNTY, Iowa — A 19-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a farm sprayer vehicle on Wednesday evening.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred around 7:25 p.m. on County Road M16, near Shelby.
Authorities reported that both vehicles were traveling north, with the motorcycle positioned behind the farm sprayer. The sprayer began to turn left into a driveway when the motorcycle rear-ended it.
The motorcycle came to rest in the west ditch. The rider, identified as Jacob Buman of Harlan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the sprayer sustained no injuries. The investigation into the crash continues, with authorities assessing the scene for additional details.
