ALDER LAKE, Wash. — A 19-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on State Route 7 near Alder Lake on Saturday.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the motorcyclist was southbound on SR 7 at Pilgrim Road when he lost control while negotiating a turn.
The motorcyclist crossed into the northbound lane and struck an embankment, WSP confirmed.
A second motorcycle traveling northbound collided with him as he entered the lane, authorities said.
The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, according to WSP.
The roadway was closed for approximately five hours following the incident for investigation and cleanup.
