Ider Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash Near Alabama Highway 75
IDER, Ala. — A motorcycle crash involving a farm tractor resulted in one fatality Monday morning, according to officials.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on DeKalb County Road 134, approximately four miles south of Ider. Avery L. Weathers, 61, of Henagar, was riding the motorcycle when it collided with a John Deere tractor and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities stated that the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is conducting the investigation.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as emergency crews respond.
