Fatal Crash in Kent Closes Highway 167
KENT, WA — A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 167 near the 196th Street exit at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Sunday.
According to the Washington State Patrol, two vehicles were involved in the incident, which resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. Emergency responders, including the KENT FIRE DEPARTMENT and AMR, arrived on the scene shortly after the crash. One individual was confirmed dead, while several others were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation.
Authorities closed the southbound lanes of Highway 167 for several hours to facilitate an investigation and clean-up. The roadway has since been reopened to traffic.
