A woman was arrested following a motorcycle crash that resulted in the deaths of two individuals on Greenbelt Highway on October 21, 2023.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. near mile marker 12. A motorcycle, reportedly carrying two riders, collided with a sedan traveling in the opposite direction. Witnesses reported that the impact was severe, and both riders were ejected from the motorcycle upon collision.
Emergency responders from the local police department and fire services arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. Medical personnel pronounced the two motorcycle riders dead at the scene. The sedan driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, Greenbelt Highway was closed in both directions to facilitate the investigation and the removal of vehicles. The road remained closed for approximately three hours before reopening.
