MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – A 42-year-old man died Wednesday morning following a motorcycle accident on South Live Oak Drive, according to authorities.
Dennis Montgomery Sweatman of Bonneau was pronounced dead at a local emergency room after sustaining injuries in the crash, as confirmed by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office (BCCO). The accident occurred on October 28, 2026, at approximately 10:24 a.m., when Sweatman was the sole occupant of a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Emergency responders from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Berkeley County Emergency Medical Services, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and Central Berkeley Fire & EMS were dispatched to the scene.
