BARNES COUNTY, N.D. (Valley News Live) — Two motorcyclists were injured Friday evening in a crash in rural Barnes County.
The incident occurred at 6:22 p.m. on the 5100 block of 118th Avenue Southeast, known as County Road 21. Both riders were not wearing helmets, according to authorities.
Sanford LifeFlight responded to the scene; however, the conditions of the injured parties have not been disclosed.
Assisting agencies included the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes County Dispatch, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Barnes County Ambulance, Kathryn Fire Department, and Valley City Fire Department.
Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution over the Fourth of July weekend by slowing down, remaining vigilant, and wearing helmets while riding.
The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
