UPDATE: A motorcycle accident on Wyoming Boulevard and McKinley Street involved a small SUV and resulted in serious injuries to the rider, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred Friday evening when a motorcycle traveling west collided with an SUV turning left onto McKinley Street from Wyoming Boulevard. Authorities reported that the SUV driver failed to yield the right-of-way.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and sustained serious leg injuries. He was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and underwent surgery; his current condition is unknown.
The driver of the SUV, a female, submitted to a blood test, but authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident. No names have been released at this time.
Emergency responders to the scene included the Wyoming Highway Patrol, and the investigation is ongoing. The SUV driver was reportedly not seriously injured. Road closures and tows were implemented following the collision.
