ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Ronnie Bowman, a notable bluegrass singer and songwriter, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on March 21.
The crash occurred on Highway 41 around 5:30 p.m. Bowman, 64, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he passed away at approximately 3 p.m. on March 22, according to medical officials.
Authorities confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the collision. Details regarding confirmed injuries or fatalities of other parties have not been released. The accident prompted a response from local emergency services, who provided medical aid at the scene.
Witnesses reported significant lane closures following the accident as investigators assessed the situation and cleared the roadway.
