Motorcyclist Killed, Another Injured in Orcutt Collision
Orcutt, CA – A motorcyclist died and another sustained critical injuries in a collision involving two motorcycles on Saturday, August 8, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 3:28 p.m. where the northbound Highway 135 on-ramp connects to northbound Highway 1. Emergency responders from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department pronounced one rider dead at the scene.
The second motorcyclist was transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center, authorities reported.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Traffic lanes on both highways were closed during the investigation, but reopened at 4:15 p.m.
