BETHANY, Okla. – On Sunday, hundreds of bikers gathered to support the family of Evan Price, a Mustang High School senior who died in a motorcycle accident on New Year’s Day, just days after his daughter, Ellie Mae, was born.
According to event organizers, 367 bikers registered for a 57-mile ride that began at Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel in Bethany. Participants paid a registration fee of $20 per person, with funds going directly to support Ellie Mae.
Authorities noted that bikers traveled from Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas to take part in the event. “There’s people that came from Texas and from Kansas just to be a part of this,” said Danny Franks, Evan’s stepfather.
The event raised over $20,000 for Ellie, which will be held in trust until she turns 18. Dylan Price, Evan’s father, emphasized the need for community support in raising Ellie and keeping her father’s memory alive.
Many participants described the event as a tribute to Evan. Biker Tony Morris stated, “We’re just here to show support for a fallen rider.”
For those wishing to continue supporting Ellie Mae, donations can still be made through a GoFundMe page.
