Caldwell Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on U.S. Highway 20
A 19-year-old Caldwell man died in a motorcycle accident involving a deer on U.S. Highway 20 near Pine on Friday night.
The incident occurred just after 9:30 p.m. when the man was riding a 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound and attempting to overtake another vehicle. Authorities reported that a deer entered the roadway, leading to the collision.
Despite wearing a helmet, the rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 20 were closed for approximately three hours as emergency responders, including the IDAHO STATE POLICE, Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, Elmore County EMS, and Camas County Sheriff’s Office, managed the crash site.
The IDAHO STATE POLICE is investigating the incident.
