CHARLESTON — A motorcycle collision claimed the life of 23-year-old Codie Hill of North Charleston on Clements Ferry Road during morning rush hour on April 16.
The Charleston Police Department reported the fatal incident occurred before 8 a.m., prompting partial lane closures at Marina Drive, which caused significant traffic delays.
One lane in each direction was closed as responding officers and medical personnel worked at the scene. The roadway fully reopened by 10:30 a.m.
Authorities confirmed this marks the second fatal motorcycle incident on a busy road this week. On April 13, a 24-year-old lost control and fell from an overpass, leading to lane closures on the Septima P. Clark Parkway during evening rush hour.
