FAIRFAX, VA — A motorcycle crash on Braddock Road claimed the life of a 26-year-old man on Friday, authorities said.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit, Paul Economon Jr. was riding a 2013 Honda CB1100 eastbound when he collided with a 2021 Toyota Corolla turning left from westbound Braddock Road onto Kings Park Drive around 2:41 p.m.
Economon was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and subsequently died, police confirmed. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Emergency response included units from the Fairfax County Police Department and medical aid personnel. The eastbound lanes of Braddock Road were closed for investigation and to clear the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, and no charges have been reported at this time.
