Police are investigating two motorcycle fatalities that occurred overnight in Aurora and Englewood.

At approximately 12:04 a.m. on April 19, Englewood Police responded to a crash at 1900 W Dartmouth Ave., according to a social media post by the department.

Officers found a motorcycle rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary details indicate the motorcycle collided with a vehicle turning onto Dartmouth Ave. The vehicle’s driver has been cited for careless driving resulting in death, authorities said. The investigation remains ongoing.

In a separate incident, Aurora Police responded to a motorcycle crash at East Mississippi Ave. and South Moline St. around 8:15 p.m. on April 18, as noted in a department social media update.

An adult male motorcycle rider was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to authorities. At this time, officials do not suspect that speed or intoxication were factors in the incident. The intersection has since reopened.
