OSAGE COUNTY, Mo. — A motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon on US-63 left one man dead and two others injured.
The incident occurred at 1:54 p.m. at County Road 512, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A 54-year-old Boonville man driving a Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center line, colliding with a Harley Davidson operated by a 61-year-old Hartsburg man.
The Hartsburg motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His 50-year-old female passenger, also from Hartsburg, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital by Arch Air.
Debris from the initial collision then struck another Harley Davidson, which was being driven by a 54-year-old Jefferson City man. This driver experienced moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by Osage Ambulance.
Authorities reported that US-63 experienced lane closures following the crash as emergency services responded. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
