Motorcyclist Dies Following Hit-and-Run on Route 210
Indian Head resident Harry Washington III, 32, died after a hit-and-run collision on Route 210 on Sunday, May 3, at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Washington was riding a motorcycle with a 9-year-old girl when an orange 2013 Dodge Dart entered the southbound lanes and collided with them. Both Washington and the girl were airlifted to nearby hospitals, where Washington later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and a passenger in the Dodge fled the scene on foot. The passenger, identified as Jose Osmin Orellana Santamaria from White Plains, returned shortly after to seek medical assistance.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and are requesting public assistance in locating the driver of the Dodge Dart. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sgt. Justin Zimmerman at (301) 392-1200.
