Fort Bragg Soldier Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Bladen County
A 23-year-old Army Specialist assigned to Fort Bragg died in a motorcycle accident on July 10 in Bladen County, North Carolina.
Spc. Omarion R. Nesmith was riding off post when he collided with a tractor trailer at an intersection, according to XVIII Airborne Corps spokesman Lt. Col. Jon Daniell. Authorities confirmed he died at the scene, as stated by the Bladen County Medical Examiner.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. This crash marks the 18th motorcycle fatality for the U.S. Army in fiscal year 2026.
Nesmith’s mother, Carla Orozco, has established a GoFundMe page to assist with memorial expenses, raising nearly $4,000 to date. “He leaves behind an amazing family and community that supported his every decision,” she said.
