Motorcycle Crash Kills 25-Year-Old in Shoshone County
A 25-year-old man from Hayden died in a motorcycle crash Sunday night on Coeur d’Alene River Road, according to Idaho State Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. when the motorcyclist, operating a 2026 Honda, lost control while navigating a curve and crashed on the shoulder north of Prichard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the motorcyclist’s name. He was wearing a helmet and riding boots at the time of the crash. The roadway remained closed for approximately 2½ hours while emergency services responded.
The Idaho State Police is leading the investigation. Responding agencies included the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, and Prichard/Murray Volunteer Fire Department.
