HEBRON – A 21-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash on Route 85 Saturday evening, according to Connecticut State Police.
Authorities identified the victim as Dylan Owen Keefe, a resident of Amston in Hebron. The accident occurred around 7:50 p.m. when a 71-year-old man driving a 2011 Subaru Legacy was making a left turn into a private driveway. Keefe, riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson, attempted to pass the Subaru on the left.
Police report that the motorcycle collided with the Subaru’s left front side, sending it airborne down an embankment. Keefe was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Subaru was reported to be uninjured. The crash remains under investigation.
