Motorcycle Accident on Broadway Leaves Rider Injured
SCOTTSBLUFF, NE — At approximately 5:11 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a motorcycle versus vehicle accident in the 1800 block of Broadway.
According to authorities, a southbound 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, operated by 22-year-old Mason Meloney of Scottsbluff, collided with a 2011 Subaru Outback driven by 29-year-old Robert Garcia of Gering. The Subaru was backing out of a parking stall when the accident occurred.
Meloney was transported to Regional West Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Authorities indicated that citations related to this incident are pending.
Emergency response teams managed the scene and confirmed that no further injuries or fatalities occurred. Lane closures were implemented during the response and subsequent investigation.
