(Houma, Louisiana) — A crash on Louisiana Highway 57 on Monday afternoon resulted in the death of a 69-year-old man, identified as Tony Frisella.
According to Louisiana State Police, Frisella was driving a pickup truck southbound when he collided with the rear of a garbage truck, which had slowed to make a left turn. The exact cause of the failure to stop remains under investigation.
Frisella was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The driver of the garbage truck, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.
