POCATELLO — Authorities have identified a 31-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15 Friday afternoon.
Tyeson Iverson, a resident of Pocatello, lost control of his motorcycle around 2:51 p.m. on northbound I-15 near the South Fifth Street exit at milepost 67, according to the Bannock County Coroner’s Office. He was riding a 2021 Indian Motorcycle Chieftain when he struck a guardrail and came to rest on the right shoulder.
Iverson was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified.
Northbound I-15 was closed for approximately two and a half hours while emergency crews responded. Agencies involved included Idaho State Police, Pocatello Fire Department, Pocatello Police Department, Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, Bannock County Search and Rescue, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
The crash is currently under investigation by Idaho State Police.
