HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 49-year-old man from Missouri died Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash on US-301, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on May 18, 2026. Officials reported that the man was riding a Honda motorcycle northbound on US-301 when a Nissan Murano, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Webster, turned left from a private driveway into his path.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to the motorcycle rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash but has not released the names of those involved.
