MOBILE, Ala. – A two-vehicle collision on Sunday resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man in Mobile.
David E. Hopkins, operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson Night Train motorcycle, was rear-ended by a 2014 Ford Flex driven by 28-year-old Kayla A. Sauer of Dixon, Missouri, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Hopkins sustained serious injuries, was transported to a local hospital, and subsequently pronounced dead, officials stated.
The incident occurred around midday on Ala. 193, near the seven-mile marker, approximately four miles north of Dauphin Island city limits in Mobile County.
Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing the investigation into the crash.
