Detention Officer Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Austin County
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Detention Officer died in a motorcycle crash in Austin County on Saturday evening.
Authorities identified the officer as 21-year-old Anon Hoffman, who had served with the agency for two years. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, but Hoffman was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash have not yet been released. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences, stating, “His absence will be felt profoundly across our agency.”
