KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — One person died following a collision in Kershaw County on Sunday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:41 a.m. on SC 24 near South Gate Drive.
Coroner David West confirmed the victim as Walter Grannen III, 73.
Authorities reported that a T-bucket hot rod traveling east on Highway 34 crossed into the westbound lane and struck a Ford Expedition head-on.
Grannen was operating a motorcycle at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Kershaw County Coroner’s Office involved.
