1 Killed in Tempe Motorcycle Crash at Mill Avenue and Baseline Road
Tempe, AZ – A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a suspected DUI crash Saturday night at approximately 10:30 p.m.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred at the intersection of Baseline Road and Mill Avenue. A Chevrolet Camaro exiting Kiwanis Park failed to yield and struck the eastbound motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Camaro remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Authorities noted the Camaro driver exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
