VERNON, Vt. —
A motorcycle crash in Vernon on Thursday night resulted in the death of 23-year-old Samuel Barrows of Marlboro.
According to Vermont State Police, Barrows was riding north on Fort Bridgman Rd when he attempted to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming truck.
Barrows was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck’s driver and passenger suffered minor injuries, investigators reported.
Authorities are seeking witnesses to the crash and ask anyone with information to contact the Westminster Barracks at 802-722-4600.
This incident marks the second fatal motorcycle crash in Vermont on Thursday; earlier, a driver in Sheldon was killed by a motorist fleeing a traffic stop, according to police.
